The Best Of The Best!!!
This flat iron is the best thing to hair styles since hair spray. I have really short hair and find it hard when getting my hair cut to straighten it and I have no worries with this flat iron. It is so thin in width I can get all the way to the roots so there are no fly aways or strays any where to be found and the best part is I don't burn my fingers or better yet my head trying to get them. On top of that the ease of use is the best. literally in seconds its ready to use. I plug it in right after I blow dry my hair and it's ready to go before I even have the cord wound up on my dryer! it's cool to the touch and doesn't pull uneven hairs even the slightest when being used. This is definitely my best purchase in a long time and I've had this thing forever going on 2 1/2 years and its still going like the day I opened it for the first time. Tell anyone and everyone you know that uses a flat iron to REALLY consider upgrading to this ASAP!

Makes Hair Shiny and Manageable with out the damage
I have really thick and frizzy hair and it takes a long time to dry. So I decided to purchase HAI elite dryer since I already have there flat iron and it works so well. I wanted something that would not damage my hair as well and Ilooked at other customer reviews and they seemed to really like this dryer. The one thing that I was really hesitant about was the fact that the dryer looked big and heavy, which makes it hard to manage for style. However, this dryer is surprisingly light and I had no problems styling w/ my brush. I love it. What used to take me 45 minutes takes now a cool 20. I like that!!

not worth the money
This iron creates a TERRIBLE burning smell when you use it. And it's just not as good as the Chi. Don't bother with it.

You won't go wrong
I had the HAI SlimStik for about 5 years - which I was very happy with.

This is even better. YOu can turn the temperature up higher. I have course thick, wavy hair and I need the high temps.

There may be irons with more bells and whistles, but for doing the basic straightening job, you won't go wrong.

Has Made My Dry Hair Healthier - LOVE IT!
I was hesitant about spending so much money on a flat iron. I had a flat iron from the beauty supply store that I was currently using but my hair was starting to seem dry from it. It would take an average of 20-25 minutes every time I used it waiting for it to heat up and then having to run it through my hair many times. Then....I was introduced to the HAI Digistick at the aveda salon I go to. I was in love. My hair has always been frizzy when I get into humidity. After my hair dresser was done my hair was as smooth as ever. Sylists can always make hair look better than what I can but after seeing my hair looking so long and smooth I just had to buy one. Great item for any hair type
My stylist uses these in both 1 and 2 inch models. I have long coarse, thick thick hair (think Brook Shields/Kirstie Alley) and it is stick straight after using this and SO smooth. It comes with five heat settings and takes only seconds to heat up (10 I think). I love the 2 inch model for my hair type, it's fast and easy for a lay-person to use. Since it's ceramic it won't burn your hair like the old metal style ones do, sure they're cheaper and that's why! You can even use these on permed or damaged hair on lighter setting. This is the brand he (stylist) uses and he's a very chic salon, so I'm happy I got it and after searching around, after counting shipping, Amazon offers the best price (50 bucks less than stylist, guess I'm just not that chic ;) ).

I wish I could give this a 4.5 rating.
If you have thick hair like me, GET THIS ONE. I am sure that the 1 inch plate is just as great, but you will spend more time on straightening smaller sections of your hair. You will not believe how awesome your hair will look after you do this.

I have had some people ask me about singeing hair so just in case you are curious about that... Make sure your hair is dry when you use this. You can either just blow out your hair with a regular blow dryer and then use the HAI, or do what I do.. Wash your hair at night before you go to bed and wake up in the morning to dry hair and go straight to the HAI. I find that washing my hair at night actually works better for me for some reason.

I know that some people who bought this seem to have bad experiences with theirs, but I think they just got a bad egg. This is really an awesome iron. It is totally worth a try. I bought both the 1inch and 2inch to see which worked better and I think that if you have thin hair, there is no reason to get the 2 inch unless you want to spend that extra money. The only reason someone might want to get the 1inch plate over the 2inch plate is to create curls. With the 2inch plate you will not be able to do this. The most you will be able to do is create a flip and nothing else.

I've had mine for a good 2 years now and it is still in good condition but I just purchased a kiyoseki flatiron today because I wanted a 1inch plate. I will not part with the Hai though because it is still awesome.

Great for thick/curly hair!
I've used HAI irons for about 7 years. My first one lasted 5 years without issue, before the electric connection just came loose and I couldn't fix it. I bought a second one about 6 months ago and it works great. I have super thick, very curly, course hair and this flat iron rocks. It gets my hair stick straight and doesn't break the ends or fry it. Sounds like other people have had some issues with HAI irons but I've been very pleased with mine all these years.

DEFINITELY WORTH IT
I had completely given up on straightening my thick, wavy hair because either only one side would straighten or it would straighten temporarily (with frizz, lots) and flip out in 3 hours. However I decided to spend the extra few bucks and buy a real good straightener and I bought this off of Folica because of the good reviews and it is the BEST HAIR INVESTMENT I'VE EVER MADE!! This product straightens my hair in less than 10 minutes without frizz and keeps it's shine. It really makes my highlights stand out better too. DEFINITELY A GOOD BUY!

This is the absolute only tool that has ever gotten my hair bone straight. It even straightens those little fizzy fly-aways. I was unsure whether to buy this iron at first because of the price, but I am not disappointed. Doing my hair in the mornings has gone from 45 minutes to 10.

Nothing Else Compares
I have the most unruly curly hair ever. I got my first introduction to the world of straightening and this Flat Iron during my high school years and I've never looked backed. It's been 6 years total and it finally broke on me. I've tried 3 other flat irons and none of them even come close to the quality job (ha I got voted best hair all 4 yrs.) that this iron does. It's just the right size and gets hot enough to tame my hair.

My suggestion is to definitely invest in this iron and to not wrap the cord around the body of the iron during storage. I think that's what finally made my iron stop working in the end. I love this iron!

great for naturally curly hair
I have natually curly hair, but have a hard time making it look good without spending the entire morning trying to get that "Natural look". I love this curling rod. It's great for my hair type, but watch out, it is hot and there isn't a clip to hold your hair. The first time I burned myself a couple of times, but learned better ways of curling fast. My husband loves my hair and I get compliments all the time on my curly do. It's amazing, the next day it still looks good enough to just touch up and head out the door. Great price too! I must have for supermodels
I have an afro and I love my afro but at times due to work or my mood, I desire a change from my lovey curls to straight. I tried regular flat iron even those Ionic ones and my hair felt so dry and dull. Plus, the tinyest bit of moisture and BOOM! my hair an afro again! From TV, I learned about the "infra red heat" flat iron so I looked it up here (so I can get a great price and I did)! It came on time and I am part scientist so I did trail tests to see if it was like the others. The first try of a section of my hair was just regularly flat iron by an ion iron, it produce a medium straight and dull shine. The second section was again used by an ion flat iron but with hair spray. It was straight and shiney but hard and NOT flexible. The last section was done by this new product HAI ceramic flat iron and in one pass ONLY it was straight and shiney without any conditioner or hair spray. O, my Goddness, it was so beautiful! And with very little baby oil it had even more of a gorgeous shine. AND here the greatest part it also lasted through the day despite that it was very "stuffy-damp" and "hot" outside BUT MY HAIR LOOK GREAT! So, now on Monday I can rock my afro puffs then on Tuesday I can shake my silky straight hair then on Wednesday back to afro puffs!

The Flat Iorn from Heaven!!! (REALLY)
Now I have what you call nappy, thick & wavy hair. I've heard people talk about this product, but I just thought it was another flat iorn, Boy was I wrong this flat iorn was from heaven, It gives your hair a healthy, silky shine that last's through rain, sweat, and any other toil. This iron is absolutely fabulous. It gets your hair completely straight and so smooth. I've owned 2 other straightening irons (both conair). The second one did a great job straightening, but my hair was left very damaged. This iron eliminates all frizz and damage, which the conair definitely did not. Greatest Flat Iron I've ever used
I absolutely LOVE this flat iron. I have been straightening my hair for many years now, and have used the CHI (which are awful) flat irons as well as the Infra (sold as salons)which I upgraded from to the Hai Elite Nano XT iron. I think the Hai is just fantastic, it is comfortable to hold, and the temperature ranges are convenient. My hair is exactly how I like it without frizz and it stays that way throughout the entire day. My only complaint, and the reason for a 4 star review is that I can't seem to turn it on by pressing the temp down button. It turns on at the highest temp and then I have to lower it to where I want it. It needs a memory feature. Overall it works beautifully!

I would highly recommend this HAI Nano XT Tourmaline Flat Iron. It heats up super fast and does a great job, much better than my previous discount store flat irons. Also,the Amazon price was alot cheaper than my hairdresser's supplier for the same product. Use it just about every day and works great!
